MARION, OH – On June 28, 2016, the META Board of Directors voted to accept the retirements and resignation of several key leaders within the organization.
The Board accepted the retirement of Mike Carder, CEO, effective July 15, 2016. META would like to thank him for his 29 years of service at former merger partner, TRECA, and congratulate him on his 39 years in the field of education. Mr. Carder’s leadership and vision helped lead META into the strong IT center that it is today.
The Board also accepted the retirement of Scott Armstrong, Assistant CFO, effective July 8, 2016. META would like to thank Mr. Armstrong for his 11 years of service to META and its customer base and for bringing a strong presence of fiscal knowledge and responsibility to the organization.
Finally, the Board accepted the resignation of Adam Collier, CFO, effective July 7, 2016. META would like to thank Mr. Collier for his guidance and financial expertise throughout the merger of TRECA and MEC, and his contributions in formulating a strong foundation for META during the initial transitional phase.
Although this will mean many changes for META Solutions, the Board has approved to maintain Adam Collier as Interim CFO during the search process. The Board has also hired Wade Lucas, effective July 16, 2016, as acting Interim CEO. Mr. Lucas comes to META as the former Superintendent of Olentangy Local Schools and possesses a strong educational knowledge and skill set to assist in bringing organizational stability and leadership during this next phase.
“We understand that there may be additional questions or concerns, but please know that we will continue to uphold our mission statement as we select the next leaders who will join us in our commitment to …improve education through the delivery of outstanding solutions to our owners, members and customers and enrich the learning environments for students and communities,” said Jim Sotlar, President of the META Solutions Board of Directors.
